Folks, we have put this off for a long time, but we have decided that charging for access to our play space outside of store events is something we do need to do to ensure the continued success of AG.
This is very common practice with shops like ours all over the country and we want to make sure you understand what you are getting for paying a play space entry fee, as we have spent a lot of time internally going over the pros and cons from both the perspective of our business and our customers.
Full Day Access = $8 (tax is included in that), you will get $4 in AG Bucks (our new Store Credit) that you can use on your next purchase of anything in the store, even paying for being in the play space on another day!
Paid events and Membership supersede the room fee. If you are attending a paid event you only pay for the event.
We currently have almost 150 titles in our in-store library and you can sit and play any of them! We regularly add more to this library as well.
This change doesn’t mean you can’t stop in and say hello to us at the counter, we are embracing the fact that our space and use of it is a product and charging for it will allow us to continue our efforts to be here for our community, to eventually hire staff, and continue creating more escapism here in Ripon.
Also, Victory Points, our loyalty program points earned from purchases at the shop, is not going away, but it is changing again to better align with our mission to continue operating for years to come.
Every $10 you spend (before tax) will earn you one Victory Point (VP) and once you earn 20VP you can redeem them for a 15% off coupon (can not be used on TCG/CCG singles, Event Entry/Play Space Entry Fees, or food/drink).
1. Don’t be a jerk
2. Take care of yourself (personal hygiene is important, don’t make someone sit near your if you are stinky.
3. It’s a small room, trust us, we can hear you and so can everyone else, so since you are often not the only person in the room, don’t scream (unless the moment really calls for it) and be respectful with your conversations (no one wants to hear how nasty you are).
4. Be mindful and respectful of others with whom you are playing. If you need to step out for a moment for any reason, we ask that you let a staff member know.
